Ellie Harrison
Ellie Harrison is an artist based in Glasgow, currently studying (2010) on the Master of Fine Art programme at Glasgow School of Art. Her recent work is concerned with the observation and critique of the social and political systems and structures in which we live; those which we are aware of and those which are either too mundane, or too gigantic, for us notice. She has a long-standing interest in employing new technologies to realise her ideas and has been experimenting with situating work on the internet since 2000, via her website ellieharrison.com.
Benjamin Rush
Benjamin Rush is based in Glasgow and a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art (2009) Master of Fine Art programme. Rush describes much of his artistic endeavours as 'fieldwork' where he seeks to understand issues of vision, communication and mediation. The results have, in various outcomes, examined the tautology of fandom, how historical events are construced by the news media, as well as seeking out the dark areas of the internet, trying to visualise the so called 'digital divide'. Each is a enquiry into what it is to communicate, to understand, and what drives us to do so –– to fill, or even defend the holes in our own mental projections of the world and our selves.
